Salman Khan & Sanjay Dutt Star in High-Octane Saudi Action-Comedy The Seven Dogs: Teaser Out Now

Indian fans were treated to a thrilling glimpse of Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt in the newly released teaser for The Seven Dogs, a big-budget Saudi Arabian action-comedy that promises to be a global cinematic spectacle. Directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, the dynamic duo behind Bad Boys for Life and Ms. Marvel, the teaser teases adrenaline-pumping action, international intrigue, and major star power.

Though the film’s full plot remains under wraps, the teaser reveals Salman Khan in a striking white suit, radiating suave intensity, while Sanjay Dutt makes a dramatic entrance, revolver in hand, with his signature menacing charisma. A leaked set video from earlier this year showed Salman zipping through Mumbai in a khaki uniform on an auto-rickshaw, hinting at fast-paced scenes rooted in the city. Dutt’s character, meanwhile, appears tied to Shanghai, where he’s rumoured to play a powerful underworld figure.

A Saudi-Centered Global Production

Contrary to initial reports suggesting a Hollywood debut for Salman Khan, The Seven Dogs has been confirmed as a major Saudi production, with a reported budget exceeding $40 million. It stars Karim Abdel Aziz and Ahmed Ezz, two of the Arab world’s biggest stars, reuniting after their record-breaking Egyptian hit Kira & El Gin.

The film revolves around Interpol officer Khalid Al-Azzazi, who captures Ghali Abu Dawood, a high-ranking member of a dangerous crime syndicate known as the 7 Dogs. But when the syndicate resurfaces with a lethal new drug, “Pink Lady,” sweeping across the Middle East, Khalid must ally with his former enemy to stop a catastrophe.

Shot in Saudi Arabia, Set Across the World

The Seven Dogs is the first production to be filmed at Big Time Al-Hosn Studios in Riyadh, which will serve as a stand-in for several global locales, including Mumbai and Shanghai. This innovative use of location underlines Saudi Arabia’s growing footprint in global cinema.

The film is slated for theatrical release in late 2025, positioning it as a potential blockbuster with broad international appeal.
