Mumbai Crime Branch arrested four accused.
The gang -misleading gang has been busted in other examinations taken by the state government including Maharashtra CET exam. The Crime Branch of the Mumbai Police has arrested four accused from Delhi in the case of misleading the students. All these accused arrested are highly educated. According to the primary information, in the context of the examinations taken for Maharashtra CET Sale i.e. MBA, about 72 students were contacted by the greed to get admission in big colleges in Mumbai. Along with this, he had demanded Rs 15 to 20 lakhs in lieu of getting admission in big college.
15-20 lakh rupees used from students
Investigation has also revealed that the institution which is conducted by the exam was lodged at Azad Maidan police station in Mumbai. The complaint said that different students approached him and told him that he received many calls. 15 to 20 lakh rupees have been sought to get admission in big colleges from them. The State CET Cell also formed and investigated an internal committee in this case. After investigation, a complaint was lodged at Azad Maidan Police Station in Mumbai. Based on his complaint, the team of Crime Branch took action. Four accused have been arrested in this case.
All accused are highly educated
Interestingly, the four accused arrested are studying in big institutions. Among the arrested accused, two NITs are Delhi Third Year students, while one is preparing for UPSC. There is a graduate in another biology. These accused used to make audio/video calls from Delhi to the victims of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Bihar, Rajasthan and other states through WhatsApp. These accused used to lure the students to increase the Personail in the MHCET examination and mislead them. The accused have been arrested by the Crime Branch team from Delhi. A total of 5 Apple mobile phones, 1 Apple MacBook, 1 Bluetooth headphone, 64 GB of 1 pen drive have been seized from the arrested accused.
