New Delhi, August 2 — Odia feature film Pushkara has been awarded Best Odia Film at the 71st National Film Awards 2023, marking a proud milestone for the Odia film industry. Directed by Subhranshu Das, Pushkara is an adaptation of the renowned novel Nadabindu by author Shankar Tripathy. The film, produced by Tarang Cine Productions, beautifully showcases Odisha’s rural traditions, identity, and socio-cultural dynamics.
Having already received critical acclaim at various film festivals, this national recognition has further elevated the film’s stature on a larger stage.
Lead actor Sabyasachi Mishra expressed deep emotion and pride on receiving the news:
