Odisha Govt to Release Financial Assistance for New Subhadra Yojana Beneficiaries on March 8

The Odisha Government has announced that new beneficiaries enrolled under the Subhadra Yojana will receive their financial assistance on March 8, coinciding with International Women’s Day. According to official sources, the newly approved applicants will be granted two installments together, marking a significant step in empowering women through direct financial support.

Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida confirmed that all necessary arrangements have been completed to ensure a smooth and timely disbursement of funds to eligible beneficiaries.

“In the new portal launched on Saturday, beneficiaries can now apply for the Subhadra Yojana. From today till April 2026, women who turn 21 during this period will also be eligible to apply. Any woman who could not apply earlier can now submit her application. However, those found ineligible in the previous two surveys should not apply again,” said Deputy CM Pravati Parida.

She further added that the application window will remain open for a month, with the possibility of extension depending on public response.

Application Process Reopened

Eligible women can now apply online through the official Subhadra Yojana portal, which aims to enhance transparency and accessibility. The government has emphasized that the online process will help streamline applications and make the scheme more citizen-friendly, ensuring that assistance reaches genuine beneficiaries efficiently.

Under the Subhadra Yojana, financial assistance is provided to empower women economically and socially, encouraging greater participation in livelihood and development activities across Odisha.
