Rajgir, Bihar, Sept 7 (2025): The Indian men’s hockey team clinched the Asia Cup 2025 title with a resounding 4-1 victory over South Korea in the final at the Rajgir Sports Complex on Sunday. With this triumph, India not only ended their eight-year wait for continental glory but also booked a spot in the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026, to be held in the Netherlands and Belgium.
This is India’s fourth Asia Cup win, with their last coming in 2017 at Dhaka.

The match began in explosive fashion when Sukhjeet Singh scored within the first 30 seconds, capitalizing on a superb assist from skipper Harmanpreet Singh. South Korea attempted to slow down the pace in the second quarter, but Dilpreet Singh broke through with a fine strike in the 28th minute, doubling India’s lead.
