Mumbai, June 28 – In heartbreaking news for the Indian entertainment industry, actor and model Shefali Jariwala, famously known as the “Kaanta Laga Girl”, has passed away at the age of 41. Initial reports confirm that she suffered a sudden cardiac arrest late Thursday night, between June 27 and 28, in Mumbai.
According to hospital sources, Shefali was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital by her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, and three others. Sadly, doctors declared her brought dead on arrival. The exact cause of death remains unknown, and no official statement has yet been released by her family or representatives.
A Career That Sparkled Brightly
Shefali Jariwala rose to fame in the early 2000s with her unforgettable performance in the hit music video Kaanta Laga, which catapulted her into national stardom and earned her the title of a pop culture icon. She went on to appear in Bollywood’s Mujhse Shaadi Karogi alongside Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar.
Later, Shefali found success in the reality TV circuit, notably in Nach Baliye with her husband and in Bigg Boss 13, where her entry stirred public attention due to her past relationship with the late Sidharth Shukla. Despite their history, the two remained cordial and respectful throughout their time in the Bigg Boss house.
