In a significant outreach initiative, the ‘Vikas Bahan’ (Development Chariot) was ceremoniously flagged off across various Gram Panchayats in the Chhatrapur Assembly Constituency. The launch marks a dynamic effort to spread awareness about the government’s flagship welfare schemes and ensure their benefits reach the grassroots.
At the heart of this program, Honourable MLA of Chhatrapur, Shri Krushna Chandra Nayak, led the initiative by personally interacting with beneficiaries and handing over vital welfare entitlements. During the event, several deserving citizens were provided with ration cards, appointment letters for employment, and social security pensions. These distributions reflect the state government’s commitment to inclusive development and citizen empowerment.
The ‘Vikas Bahan’ is envisioned as a mobile information and service delivery platform that travels from village to village, educating citizens on schemes such as food security, housing, employment, health insurance, and pension benefits. Equipped with IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) materials, the chariot is also engaging communities with multimedia content to ensure maximum awareness and participation.
Speaking at the event, MLA Krushna Chandra Nayak highlighted the importance of taking governance to the doorstep of the people. “The Vikas Bahan is not just a chariot—it is a symbol of our government’s dedication to transparency, accessibility, and service delivery at the grassroots level,” he said.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents and PRI members, who lauded the effort as a proactive step in bridging the gap between the government and the rural populace.
With the launch of Vikas Bahan, Chhatrapur takes a forward step in building an informed and empowered rural community, showcasing the government’s people-centric approach to development.
