MS Dhoni Inducted into ICC Hall of Fame, Becomes 11th Indian Cricketer to Receive Honour

London, June 11, 2025 – Legendary Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been formally inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame, marking a monumental moment in cricketing history. The former India captain received the honour at a dazzling ceremony hosted at the iconic Abbey Road Studios in London during the ICC’s special event, ‘A Day with the Legends’.

Dhoni joins six other global icons as the latest entrants into the elite club, taking the total number of Hall of Fame inductees to 122.

From women’s cricket, the inductees are:

  • Sana Mir (Pakistan)

  • Sarah Taylor (England)

These players were selected through a voting process that involved existing Hall of Famers, ICC officials, and media representatives, underlining their global impact on the sport.

Dhoni’s Historic Career: A Snapshot

Known for his calm demeanor and unmatched tactical acumen, MS Dhoni is the only captain in cricket history to win all three ICC white-ball trophies:

His contributions to Indian cricket span over a decade and a half, with staggering numbers across all formats:
