Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi Launches ₹28,120 Crore Industrial Projects in Chhatrapur

Chhatrapur, Ganjam – June 5, 2025: In a significant move to bolster Odisha’s industrial landscape, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, accompanied by Chhatrapur MLA Krushna Chandra Nayak, inaugurated 12 major industrial projects worth ₹28,120 crore in Chhatrapur, Ganjam district. These initiatives are poised to generate employment opportunities for approximately 15,455 individuals, marking a substantial boost to the local economy.

Key projects include:

  • Ocior Energy Private Limited: Green hydrogen and green ammonia plant.

  • Petronet LNG Limited: LNG terminal.

  • UPL Limited: Specialty chemicals facility.

  • HHP Five Private Limited: Green hydrogen and green ammonia initiative.

  • Saatvik Solar Industries Private Limited and World Green Energy Private Limited: Green energy equipment projects.

These ventures align with Odisha’s commitment to sustainable and inclusive industrial growth, reinforcing the state’s position as a hub for green energy and advanced manufacturing.

Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain highlighted the significance of these projects, stating, “Odisha is moving ahead with strong industrial growth. Come, be part of the progress as Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi lays the foundation for 12 major industrial projects at Chhatrapur, Ganjam—a big step towards inclusive development and economic transformation in the state.”

MLA Krushna Chandra Nayak, who secured the Chhatrapur seat in the 2024 elections representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), expressed his gratitude for the state’s focus on Ganjam’s development. He emphasized the positive impact these projects will have on local employment and infrastructure.

This development underscores the state’s strategic focus on fostering industrialization that not only drives economic growth but also ensures employment generation and regional development.
