Shri Manoranjan Dyan Samantaray, the Hon’ble MLA from Chikiti constituency in Ganjam district, Odisha, received a grand and heartfelt welcome from members of the Odia community upon his arrival at Surat Airport.
The BJP leader is in Surat to attend the cultural and community gathering “Odia Savra Samaj Snehamilan”, scheduled to be held on May 31, 2025. Notably, Shri Samantaray is the only MLA from Odisha participating in the event, highlighting his deep connection and commitment to the Odia diaspora.
Upon his arrival, hundreds of Odia migrants gathered at the airport to greet him with traditional hospitality and enthusiastic cheers, celebrating his presence as a symbol of pride and representation for Odias living outside the state. The community expressed appreciation for his continuous engagement and support, especially towards Odias settled in Gujarat.
This visit underscores the growing engagement between Odisha’s political leadership and its global diaspora, strengthening socio-cultural ties and fostering unity among Odias irrespective of geography.
