Indian javelin star Neeraj Chopra clinched second place at the Janusz Kusocinski Memorial 2025 in Chorzów, Poland, on May 23. Battling cold and wet conditions, Chopra delivered his best throw of 84.14 meters in his sixth and final attempt, overtaking Grenada’s Anderson Peters, who finished third with 83.24 meters. Germany’s Julian Weber secured the top spot with a throw of 86.12 meters. This event marked Chopra’s first sub-85m performance since the 2024 Federation Cup in Bhubaneswar, where he threw 82.27 meters. Despite the challenging conditions, Chopra maintained his streak of top-two finishes, a run that has continued since June 2021.
